ABOUT US

Meet Miss Tara

I am a passionate dancer and dance educator with almost 33 years experience in the dance industry. My journey began at the age of 2 years old at the Oxford Dance Academy where I met my first love – dance. Since then I have undergone extensive training in all areas of dance and acrobatics.

I have always loved all aspects of the performing arts, but took a special interest in teaching. For the past 20 years I have been passing on my love for dance to students all over NSW and Victoria and have gained a wealth of experience in nurturing young dancers and helping them reach their full potential.

In addition to my passion for dance, I have a background in psychology and education and am currently working in the mental health space. I am also a mum, which has further enhanced my understanding of the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive environment for children to learn and grow.

I am so proud to take everything I have learned over the years and put it into my own studio. My years of experience as a dancer and dance educator, combined with my background in psychology and education make the PHOENIX DANCE TEAM an ideal choice for parents when looking for a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow in the world of dance.

I am thrilled to welcome back Miss Joirdyn for another year at Phoenix Dance Team. As a cherished former student of mine, I have had the privilege of watching Miss Joirdyn grow into a remarkable dancer and I have truly loved seeing her grow and thrive as a dance teacher.

With 15 years of dedicated training, Miss Joirdyn has developed expertise in a wide range of dance styles, with a particular passion for tap. Her commitment to excellence has made her an integral part of troupe teams, including a national champion-winning team. Miss Joirdyn has also excelled as a soloist, performed in hip hop crews, and completed both her tap and ballet exams, showcasing her versatility and technical skill.

As a student, Miss Joirdyn's resilience, persistence, and positive spirit stood out. Her natural leadership, encouragement, and support lifted everyone around her. She was always respectful and humble, valuing the art of dance and fostering a sense of community within the studio.
